The trip to Myanmar exceeded all our expectations, a country which combines tradition, culture, religion and landscapes. It was fantastic to have the same local guide throughout the entire trip, a great professional who adapted to our tastes and rhythms, giving us all sorts of information when it was required.
The Burmese people are simple, friendly, helpful, with a great religious spirit and a concept of life very different from ours. We were impressed, particularly with the life in Buddhist monasteries and how the Monks went out to collect food on some endless rows.
We were also surprised with the floating crops of Inle lake, so different from ours. Of course the archaeological complex of Bagan is also incredible.
We were impressed by the colors of the traditional dresses of the girls with their maked-up cheeks with tanaka to avoid sunburnt. Also by the golden domes of pagodas and the exuberant vegetation,the flowers, the smells...
All this makes us want to express our greatest appreciation to Myanmar Gold for its good organization, their staff, the choice of hotels and restaurants.
They made an unforgettable journey for our family.
