First day
Upon arrival in Chiang Rai via Bangkok transfer is by road to Anantara Resort & Spa Golden Triangle Hotel. After check-in there will be an afternoon tour sailing the quiet River Mekong, between the 3 borders of the Golden Triangle, Thailand, Burma and Laos.
Second day
There is a full day off-road excursion to the border between Thailand and Burma by 4x4 to one of the oldest temples of Thailand, Phra That Doi Thung while visiting traditional places such as Baan Pha Hi and Akha. The excursion includes a pic-nic lunch. Stopping several times to meet local tribes in the area while continuing to Doi Mae Salong, a Chinese settlement in the mountains.
Third day
Breakfast is followed by an hour and a half sailing tour of the River Kok visiting villages with bamboo huts in the jungle before returning to Chiang Rai by road to enjoy a traditional Thai lunch. Transfer by road to Wiang Papao for the hot springs before arriving at “The Rose of the North” Chiang Mai. After check-in at The Chedi Chinag Mai Hotel, there is a trip to a local restaurant to enjoy a trditional thai special Kantoke Dinner. The stay is all inclusive.
Fourth day There is a short trip to nearby forests to see the national animal of the country the elephant. The visit will include an hour elephant ride tour across the River Mae Phing, returning to the elephant farm by a bull wagon (bullock Cart). There is an optional 45 min rafting tour along the river before returning to the city visiting a typical Orchid Farm. After lunch there is a trip to the SanKampaeng district, which is home to most of the craft centres of the area.
Fifth day
There is a trip to Thad Doi Suthep Temple, built in 1384 and situated 1,070 metres above sea level, take in the wonderful views of Chiang Mai city and take some time to relax before the transfer to the airport for the flight to Bangkok. Upon arrival there is a transfer to Banyan Tree Hotel Bangkok. After check-in the rest of the day is for relaxing.
Sixth day
A Spanish/English speaking guide will lead you on a half day tour of the most emblematic sites of the capital including the Grand Royal Palace, the Temple of Reclining Buddha and a panoramic journey around the city. After lunch enjoy the rest of the day off for relaxing or browsing the local shops. Seventh day Breakfast is followed by transfer to the airport for your return flight.
