First day
Upon arrival in Luang Prabang transfer is by road to Le Residence Phou Vao Hotel. The peacefulness and charm of this town makes it one of the most pleasant places to visit in the whole south-eastern Asia. After check-in at the hotel there will be some time to relax before visiting the National Museum, in the Royal Palace, which owns countless riches form Laos’ culture. We will also take in a sunset from the top of the Mount Phousi hills while contemplating the River Mekong and the beautiful city. There will also be an opportunity to visit the ‘Night Bazaar’ full of beautiful crafts. The stay at Le Residence Phou Vao Hotel includes breakfast.
Second day
After breakfast a Spanish/English speaking guide will show you the sights of Wat Xiengthong, one of the oldest temples, which represents the classic architecture of the area. This is followed by sailing the River Mekong in atmosphere of total tranquillity. There will also be a trip to the mysterious Pak Ou caves, with thousands of Buddha statues with different shapes and sizes and the village of Ban Xanghai where rice wine is distilled. Lunch is followed by a visit to the Khuangsi waterfall.
Third day
Transfer to the airport and flight to Vientianne. Upon arrival at Wattai International Airport transfer is by road to the country’s largest city and its capital. After check in at the hotel there will be some time for lunch at a local restaurant before visiting the different sites such as Wat Sisaket Temple, one of the oldest temples containing more than 8000 statues of Buddha, Wat Ho Prakeo, current home and temple of the Emerald Buddha statue and Than Luang Stupak stupa the symbol of the nation, certaintly the most important monument of the city. There will also be an opportunity to visit the Patouxay monument (the Arc de Triomphe), built in commemoration of those who died during the wars of the past. The stay at the Settha Palace Hotel includes breakfast.
Fourth day
Breakfast is followed by transfer to the airport for your return flight.
